247Bidders

Terms of Use

Draft — review with a lawyer before launch. Last updated July 12, 2026.

The short version

247Bidders runs timed online auctions. If you win, you get an invoice and pay in person when you pick up your item — by Interac e-Transfer or cash. Nothing is charged online. All sales are final.

1. Bidding

  • You need an account with a verified email address to bid or create listings. Browsing is open to everyone.
  • A bid is a commitment to buy. Enter your maximum honestly — our proxy system bids the minimum needed for you to lead, up to your maximum, which stays private.
  • Bids placed in the last 5 minutes extend the auction by 5 minutes ("soft close"), so an auction ends only when bidding actually stops.
  • Bids cannot be retracted. Don't bid to test.

2. Winning and paying

  • When an auction closes, the winning bidder receives an invoice. Losing bidders never owe anything.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of the auction closing.
  • All payment happens in person at pickup (Unit 5, 250 Cochrane Drive, L3R 8E5, hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5pm) by Interac e-Transfer or cash. We never ask for card details online.
  • Unpaid invoices:if you don't pay within 7 days, we may cancel the invoice, offer the item to the next bidder or relist it, and suspend your account from bidding on future auctions.

3. All sales are final

Items are sold as-is, as described. Inspect your item at pickup before paying — once you pay and take the item, the sale is final and there are no returns or refunds. If an item is materially different from its description, raise it at pickup before paying.

4. Pickup window

Items must be picked up during posted pickup hours within 14 days of the auction closing. Items left longer than 14 days after payment may be treated as abandoned. If you can't make the window, contact us — we're reasonable.

5. Sellers and listings

  • Listings must describe items truthfully, including defects.
  • Prohibited: illegal items, counterfeits, recalled goods, weapons, and anything you don't have the right to sell.
  • We may remove listings, cancel auctions, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Accounts

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself. We can suspend accounts for non-payment, shill bidding, abusive behaviour, or other misuse — suspended users can still browse and settle existing invoices.

7. Liability

We provide the auction platform as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid on the invoice in question. Nothing in these terms overrides consumer rights that apply to you under Ontario or Canadian law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
